Fashion Era: Roaring 20s

Ever since I read The Great Gatsby my junior year, I became quite obsessed with the fashion of that era.

I just adored the hairstyles, especially the bob cuts. That type of bob cut really framed the face. Plus it was the perfect length.

Another element that I loved about the Roaring 20s was the fashion. The dresses were just beautifully made. The ones from the past and today are beautifully made. I love looking at recreations that people have made. The shoes they wore back then were adorable!
It makes me want to either buy one or live in the 20s. I swear, I just want a garment from every era I love! But, I really love the Roaring 20s era.

I think we will be seeing some Roaring 20s fashion in Season 5 of Downton Abbey, from what I've read online. Can't wait for that to air!

If you're looking for a good book to read, check out The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Also, check out both films of The Great Gatsby. I personally prefer the classic (older) version; the new version was not for me.

Another movie related to the Roaring 20s is Thoroughly Modern Millie with Julie Andrews and Carol Channing. Very good film that will leave you giggling.
