Thundershirt and Cookies

Good afternoon fellow readers! You are probably wondering what Mud is doing. Well, we just had a crazy thunderstorm here in Virginia, so she felt very safe squished between the wall and the sofa. She was also wearing her Thundershirt which helped only a little bit. She still shook, whimpered and walked around since the storm released some major clashes of thunder. The thunder was quite nerve racking.

But now, she has calmed down and got back to being her happy self. This storm that we just gave me the motive to actually make a disaster kit for Mud since it is hurricane season. Just a kit to keep in my car in case I had to evacuate my home. 

Since I opened the back door to let light in, Mud got all excited since it was an opportunity to go outside (and an opportunity for me to snap pictures of her). 

"Hmm, what's that over there?"

"Oh it's you!"

SO MUCH RAIN. Time to bust out the Hunter Wellies! Love them so much, I will definitely be using them in Washington. They are so comfortable and I have the wellie warmers, which are fleece liners to keep your feet warm. Mine are made by Horseware Ireland, which is available at Dover Saddlery, but not at this time with it being summer. They do come out during the winter season.

"Whatcha doing out there, Sophie?"

"Hmm, in or out?"

"I say in and cookie time!"

When I opened the cookie bag and took some out…

This was her face of happiness.

"Oh yum!"

"Any more Turkey bits?"

She really likes the turkey treats a lot. Plus they're grain free which is a preference. I might get her the salmon or chicken flavored treats next time I go to Petsmart.

The best movie to watch during a thunderstorm in my opinion is The Day After Tomorrow. I just love watching disaster movies during a storm. You should rent it next time you are at the movie store or buy it. Very good movie.

MudLynn and Friends

Hello!!! Just an update on MudLynn. In the past, MudLynn was not fond of other dogs, but now that she's gotten older, she has become friendlier to other dogs. Today, she got to meet CJ and Cruiser. She really liked CJ because he is about 5 years older than her, so she liked how calm he was around her. CJ seemed to like her as well. Lastly, she met Cruiser who is about 2 years old. She liked Cruiser even though he had a bit more energy than her. She did play with him a bit. I mean, if you call chasing "play." 

But, yeah! I am trying to expand her horizon in playing with other dogs. She did play a bit with a 9 month old Doberman puppy whose name was Trooper. I am actually going to be watching him in July. She didn't mind Trooper but she didn't like it when he would constantly sniff her bum (He's not neutered)…

Bath Day is not Mud's Day

Oi, I really don't think bath day is Mud's forte. She knows that once I get the purple leash and five towels that it is bath time. She is easy to bath though, just takes five-ten minutes and then she's done.

She gets very excited during the towel drying phase of the bath, though. Like, she is running like a Greyhound and prancing like a doe. Mud is  a crazy little gal, it is astonishing to realize that she is going to be ten and she has this much energy. After her bath, she got her heart worm chewy.

So today, she had her flea treatment. She doesn't mind it at all really. Since she had her chewy yesterday, she always thinks that her flea treatment medicine is a treat as well. After I gave her the flea treatment, I always put her outside so that she can shake off any excess flea treatment that didn't soak in.

She is my baby though! <3

Such a Lazy Baby

She literally sleeps all day. I wish I could do that.

Muddy Friday

It's Muddy Friday!! It's day 2 after her dental op. at the vet. She's being very clingy and lovable to me and my mum. It's her way of sucking up to us to that we don't take her back to the vet for that ordeal. You can probably or probably not see her leg that is mainly all white. That was the leg the shaved to put the IV in. Her little leg looks abnormal with the shaved spot.

I honestly have no idea why I bought her a bed… She sleeps in it most times, but then she will sleep in it when she is like this; half in, half out. She's a very weird dog, but hey I love her to death.

Muddy Friday

New weekly Friday post! It's going to be all about MudLynn. I have been having so many thoughts about her. Thoughts mainly on how could I get her to become a doggie model. I mean, she has that cute look about her that really no one can resist. Plus she is very photogenic, which I love to bits! She loves people. My goal right now is to get another dog in order to help her socialize better with other dogs. She can be a bit grouchy.
