The Week Ahead

Outside my window... It is sunny outside, but we had a random hour of fog and then it became sunny again.

I am thinking... About all the things I have to do this week.

I am thankful for... Everything and everyone around me.

From the kitchen... I ate some rice and adobo. I had a cinna bon for breakfast. Score! I ate breakfast!

I am hearing... My computer keys clicking as I type.

I am watching... Nothing at the moment.

Always one of my favorite things... To watch scary movies with friends and eat delicious food.

I am reading... My comparative cultural studies textbook.

I am making... Nothing really.

I am writing... This blog post.

A plans I have for this week... I had class this morning, then I did homework and filled out a summer job application and I have work later. Tuesday- I have a lesson, class, possibly another ride, and then time for homework and meetings. Wednesday- class and work. Thursday- class and work again. Then I gotta pack and do homework. Friday- I have class and I'm going to go ride after. Then I have to hit the road for the horse show. God, I am so busy!

MudLynn Update... MudLynn is doing very well. She is snoozing on the bed while I type this up.

College Update... I am already stressed with the amount of reading.

Riding Update...  We have two more shows this quarter...

How I Will Improve 2017

2016 was a crazy year. My parents moved back to the east coast, I declared my major, took on the role as hunt seat assistant coach and became the social media director for Western's Odyssey chapter.

My goal for this year is to explore more, read more, make more memories, achieve more and be better than I was in 2016.

My goal is to read at least 20 books, do more hikes with Kaveh, get MudLynn more active as she is getting older, host more fun nights with friends like game nights and such, be more serious about what I will be doing after college and budget more efficiently.

This year, it is my goal to figure out what I am going to do after college. I have a lot of things that I need to think about in terms of getting a better paying job.

I still have this whole year to figure it out, but I'm starting now so that I have options on the table that I can see.

From the kitchen... I ate some chips and a hot dog.

Putting Away Christmas is... So sad

As much as you all know, Christmas is my favorite time of the year. All the songs, snow, chocolates and decorations make it all seem so cheerful and merry in the apartment, especially if MudLynn is wearing his Christmas sweater.

Ah, I am looking at the tree that is just waiting to be boxed wishing it was still covered in ornaments again. Oh well, I will need to get a bigger one next year since Mom has sent me more ornaments for my tree, and I am still waiting for more! Oh well, that means I can decorate for other holidays like St. Patty's, Valentine's Day, July 4th, and others that I can't think of right now.

The one thing I realized is that my walls are still somewhat bare. I need more canvas prints, posters, or tapestries on my walls. It's nice to see a lot of pictures in the apartment. I may just have to go check the estate clearance shop out in Lyden again. I scored some adorable pictures there!

DIY Queen and the Weekly Reads

Lately, I've been a bit more selfish about things that I like to do. For example, reading and DIY. DIY is things are so fun to do. I h...
