The Week Ahead

Outside my window... The snow is all gone because it rained. It's cold but sunny now.

I am thinking... About all the things I have to do this week.

I am thankful for... Everything and everyone around me.

From the kitchen... I ate some chocolate fingers and chips. I know, so healthy right?

I am hearing... My computer keys clicking as I type and Netflix.

I am watching... Nothing at the moment, but I am typing this blog post and Star Wars playing on the TV.

Always one of my favorite things... To watch scary movies with friends and eat delicious food.

I am reading... Nothing.

I am making... I am working on the next infinity scarf that I am making. I think I'll give it to a friend for Christmas. Homemade gifts are the best.

I am writing... This blog post and my resume skills sheet.

A plans I have for this week... I have work in the mornings and afternoons from today till Thursday. Then it's Christmas! When I am not at work I will be doing blog posts and other cleaning endeavors in the apartment.

MudLynn Update... MudLynn is doing very well. She is snoozing on the bed while I type this up.

College Update... I am all registered for classes, I just need to purchase my books for the quarter.

Riding Update...  I have to start getting ready for this quarter of shows. We have a few double English shows so I will most likely point out by then.

Rogue One: Same Story or What?

In all honesty, I loved the film. It was so well made and the CGI was on point. However, it was literally the same story: Destroy the Death Star. Although, it was amazing. Even though it was about the Death Star's destruction, it showed how the rebels got the plans. So imagine the Death Star being completed and then the beginning of Episode IV. Rogue One was pretty much Episode 3.5.

It was interesting that they told the story from a different character's point of view: from the view of Jin. Jin's character was awesome, she didn't need a man to do her work. She did it herself. She defined herself, not a man. She was pretty bad-a**. I LOVED her.

The CGI of Princess Leia at the end was amazing. It just proves how advanced the entertainment industry has become. She looked like she was young again, but alas it was CGI! Princess Leia is my favorite because she's awesome, she's a fighter but not a wimp like Padme.

After seeing Rogue One, it has put me in a Star Wars mode. I'm currently watching Episode IV. I'm sure you all went home after seeing it saying, "Let's watch the rest of them!"

The Jungle Book - Live Action

9 Things Disney Fans Need to Know About The Jungle Book, According to Jon Favreau:

Okay, let me just say this one thing, the special effects for this film were spot on. Disney outdid themselves with the effects and I applaud them on that. However, there were a few things I was nit-picky about.

  1. The movie setting wasn't in India. The setting of the movie was in India. In the book, it was in Central Provinces of India, near Seoni. Hellooooo Disney, could you not change one crucial piece of the story.
  2. There were animals that wouldn't be in India... Ok, when did we ever see a hyena or antelopes in the story.
  3. Indian animals in an African setting. Tigers, orangutans, bears, and wolves do not live in Africa.
Okay away from that, one thing I was also nit-picky about was the actors. Don't get me wrong, they did a fantastic job in their roles. But if this was naturally set in India, why wouldn't they have hired some of the actors/actresses from Bollywood to voice some of the characters. It only makes more sense.

Anyways, Disney is doing amazing with their live action films and I can't wait to see how they do Beauty and the Beast. We shall have to see!

I Want To Do Everything and Have Everything

Figuring out what you want to be after college is very hard. I bounce back and forth from working student at a barn, a teacher, and many other things. The think is that I need to figure it out because there are things that I want to have in life.

So far I have started figuring the beginning stage of my life post-college. I'm working on my certifications as a substitute teacher but I have also found two job postings of teacher's assistants, which I think would be fun. I wouldn't be a teacher but I would be working in a classroom with kids. Eventually, I would like to go back to school and get a degree/certificate to be an actual teacher but this will be a good start for me.

Life is hard because you want to do everything, but you only get one lifetime. I wish I was a vampire so that I could live out every single thing I want to do one year at a time.

DIY Queen and the Weekly Reads

Lately, I've been a bit more selfish about things that I like to do. For example, reading and DIY. DIY is things are so fun to do. I h...
