I wish…. AGAIN

Alas, here I am wishing for a horse again. A particular horse though. Who lives in England who is owned by a relative. He is so cute. I wish I could give up every cent for the next 10-15 years so that I could buy him.

New Yes to the…. Masks!

While I was doing my homework one morning, my mum was out running some errands. As a treat, look what she brought me!

I can't wait to use these! Especially the Yes to Cucumbers. I've tried the Yes to Tomatoes, but I haven't tried the Cucumbers. Once I try the Cucumbers one, I shall most instantly do a review! 

I've also figured out how to use the packets in order to expand it to two uses by pushing half to the top then rolling the cut top down and securing it with a clip. I am sure that will work.

Homework and Road Blocks

Oi… A lot happened today. 

I went to class and I got some clarification on my computer class Black Board mishaps and some clarification on some homework questions I had, however I am still having problems with table merging in Word 2010. The tables WILL NOT merge! Argh! I am just not Microsoft savvy, thank the Lord I am taking the class even though my feelings towards the class are the absolute opposite. I enjoy classes like European History and Greek Mythology. I would like to find an Egyptian Mythology. That class would be fascinating since I have a fascination with the gods and goddess of Egypt. I would love to visit Egypt and gallop across the sands near the Sphinx and see the Pyramids of Giza. Egypt is the creator of such beautiful and delicate architecture. 

After my class, I went job hunting! Since Michael Kors hasn't called yet, I decided to pick up some applications from Talbots and J. Crew. I'm going to fill them out tomorrow afternoon as well as print out cover letters and a cover letter with a resume to drop off at Lush. On Monday during my break, I am going to drop them off. I hope I will hear some sort of news on a job. I really would like to start working at a boutique to start my life in fashion/entertainment since I want to major in Journalism at WWU.

Oh! And I saw The Legend of Hercules! It was a fantastic film! Although its main character was "Hercules" who was played by Kellan Lutz; he was not apart of Greek Mythology, but of Roman Mythology. He was known as Heracles to the Greeks. Since I took a Greek Mythology course last semester, I sensed a lot of points that I learned in the course! I enjoyed the film immensely. It was amazing! The cast was well done and the acting was phenomenal. I definitely recommend it to any action film fans. A friend of mine who also saw it said that she loved it because the majority of the time, the men are shirtless. I enjoyed that as well. The actors were fit, VERY FIT. But enough of that, haha! The ending however was different, something I wasn't expecting at all. It is very suspenseful, you will love it!

Thursday FunTime

I know everyone, finally a Thursday Funtime post. Blame the bloody weather. It snowed so much over two weeks, we had to cancel lessons at the barn due to the freezing temperatures and hard ground. But we shall hope that snow is no longer in our forecast.

For my birthday, my mum gave me a USEF High School Equestrian Athlete saddle pad. I am so in love with it! I used it yesterday in my lesson and Hercules looked so dapper with it.

However, I really wish the patch was on both sides because since it is on one side, the other side makes the pad just look like a normal saddle pad. Oh well, I still love it dearly!

In my lesson, it was switched up a bit. In the beginning, as always Hercules is a handful because everyone else in coming in for dinner and he's being ridden. In order to avoid his crazy antics, I trotted him in tight but big figure eights, constantly changing his direction and getting him to focus on me and not the horses coming in. It worked marvelously. I warmed him up while waiting for Kitchie to start my lesson since she was still working with a previous lesson. He calmed down after I cantered him around a few times in each direction. 

Finally, it was time for my lesson! I rode with another lady who is a beginner  as well as a young girl who is also a beginner. The little girl was so adorable! I wish I started riding at her age. She was probably about what 5 or 6? We all mainly worked on trotting. Kitchie had me pick up the trot and then she critiqued what I did wrong (I looked down for my diagonal). She also had me drop a stirrup and maintain posting. It really wasn't that hard since in my past IEA lessons we had to trot with no stirrups. I was a bit rusty but that will be changed soon. After I trotted without one stirrup, she told me to pick my stirrup up without stopping or looking. The first time I got instantly and she was so impressed she said she was going to tell Ryan Minor who is a fantastic clinician and trainer whom Kitchie taught to ride about my stirrup pick up. The second time getting my stirrup back took a few minutes since I was being bounced around. Since we were working on trotting, we worked a lot on equitation. I maintained Hercules' trot and my posture that Kitchie said I would have won an equitation class if I was showing. 

Kitchie was talking to me asking who ran the ODU Equestrian Team. Since I didn't know, she said she was going to look it up because she said I should be on the team even though I am at TCC. I just asked one of the ladies who runs the team and she said that I have to be an ODU student in order to ride on the team and be in the horse riding club. I was bummed but oh well. I'll have to wait until WWU to ride on a team.

I did practice posting at the trot with no stirrups and trust me; I am sore. I am sore because I missed two weeks, but I haven't lost my groove. Haha!

Sadly, we didn't get to do any jumping. Kitchie said I could stay a bit later for the next lesson so that I could jump but it was getting late and cold.

Will it Permit?

After two weeks of snow and cancelled lessons, I am finally going to be able to ride tomorrow. Although there won't be any snow on the ground, it will be very cold. Hopefully, we will be riding in the indoor. I would prefer it because I get cold and also the ground may or may not still be hard from the snow. Or it might be too wet. I don't know who I am riding yet, but I am excited. I will be very sore after my lesson since I missed two weeks. I'm going to use my USEF High School Equestrian pad which I am very excited to use! I want to be an advocate to the younger girls at the barn so that they take interest and do the program also. It looks fabulous on their college applications. 

Well, got to go finish some homework!

January Empties

Alright guys, here is my take on January's empties. These are basically reviews on products that I emptied at the end of January. Enjoy.

First off is the V05 Moisturizing Shampoo in Strawberries and Cream. I always use this shampoo because it keeps my hair lovely and soft. I usually add a dab of Head and Shoulders to stop my scalp from getting dry.

Next is the matching conditioner. I only use this on the ends of my hair and it keeps them nice and supple. I'll sometimes put a dab on my scalp and massage it into the scalp. I do love this conditioner and the shampoo. Very inexpensive but it does its job very well.

I recently blogged about this product in the last post on the Ipsy Glam Bag. I can honestly say that I loved this sample because it also kept my scalp moisturized during the harsh winter storms Virginia has been getting lately.

Next is the Clean & Clear Deep Action Exfoliating Scrub. I do like this scrub but I am thinking of switching to the Clarisonic Sonic Skin Cleanser because I feel as if this scrub isn't getting the areas it needs to get. The scrub does keep my skin clear but it misses certain places. 

I got this little sample for Christmas with a matching loofa. This is by the Body Shop in the scent in Cranberry Joy. I absolutely love this scent, it smells so delicious. I love anything that smalls of Cranberries, especially candles. I hope I can find more of this but in non-Christmas packaging. I love Cranberries. End of story!

Birthday Jamboree!

Hello everyone! Guess what! I am no longer a teenager. Whoa, shocking I know. I honestly never really felt like a teenager since I enjoyed talking to people older than me because we had discussions that were very intellectual…

Anyways here are my goodies that I got for my birthday!

Mom made me close my eyes. I was able to open one tiny present since I made myself wait and open the others when my dad got home.

Très belle non? It is a small ceramic Tiffany & Co. box. I now store my Claddagh ring in it!

Yes, I am a huge Disney film fan. I got Brave. :)

I have been wanting this palette since forever. Such gorgeous colors in the Naked 2 pallet by Urban Decay. I even got the Primer Potion samples!

Papyrus has the cutest gifts in their store. I had been eyeing this passport cover and luggage tag for a week or so. Now I can jazz up my passport and luggage!

I did the USEF High School Equestrian Letter for two years. I've seen photos of the varsity jacket and when I looked on their site, I found this pad. What I didn't know was that my mum ordered it for my birthday! Cannot wait to put in on Hercules and be an advocate for USEF High School Letter!

I absolutely adore these Michael Kors riding boots. They are black with brown top. I have been wearing them for the past few days and they are very comfortable.

I also got a little coin purse which I will now put my military ID card in from now on.

Did I mention I also got a small shopping spree…

Along with my acceptance letter to WWU. I was so happy I was stomping my feet into the ground multiple times. I had the Cheshire Cat's smile on my face as well.

Last but not least, this beautiful Michael Kors dress that I have been drooling over (literally) online. It fits like a glove. If I get a phone call from Michael Kors about an Interview, I am definitely wearing it.

Just want to say Happy Birthday to those born on February 1st!
