Lone Survivor

Today, there was the free family film on the base so my parents and I went to see it. I have got to say, the film is amazing and truly focuses on the story of Operation Red Wings. It showed how many of our soldiers risk their lives every day on missions so dangerous, that they don't know if they will be going home. This film makes me thankful for our military because they are out in places we have never been to, protecting us from any future harm. The wives of the men who were in Operation Red Wings are so brave to know they could have lost someone they loved, their husbands are in memory. The men had such valor and courage to be out there fighting, surviving. May God bless every soldier in our military.

Go see Lone Survivor, you will be blown away.

It's Finished!

So as you all know, I took the liberty of doing the outdoor decorations this year! And guess what? *Drum roll*
IT'S FINISHED!!

Woo!!

MudLynn "helped" me. She was my little model for the blog! Isn't she cute with the wreath on her?! I had so much fun decorating the railings and porch for Christmas. I feel as if it looks very country themed. It is rather cute! Anyways, just wanted to update you guys on how the porch was going so I'll talk to you all later!

P.S. I cracked my phone screen… Time for new phone..

Tom Daley is Diving into a World of Love

If you watch the clip, you'll find out what he has to say, but I just want you guys to support him now that he has come out as bisexual. For some people, it's hard to come out and say, "I'm gay" or "I'm bisexual" because people might not be as supportive as you would think. Since his mum already knew and supported him; happily, his grandparents support him all the way.  Many celebrities like Russell Brand, David Williams and Kylie Minogue were amongst the celebrities who tweeted him their support. I pray no one will hate on this ray of sunshine because he has worked so hard to being a professional Olympic Diver, and he deserves our support. He deserves to be happy with the man he loves. Love is a powerful thing, it can change you into the person you are destined to be. Tom Daley is an amazing athlete, he deserves to have a love of his own. So please, support Tom and the man he loves. Tweet him, Instagram him, anything! Just show him that you support him. It really doesn't matter if you're gay or bisexual, you're still beautiful in the eyes of those who support you. Since Tom has publicly come out as bisexual, he stands as a role model to those who are nervous to publicly come out to their friends and family.
We love you Tom!

Monday Funtime!

Today's Monday Funtime went amazing! Hercules was such a good boy! He was so calm in the beginning like his head was actually screwed on just right. He wasn't all excited until we started jumping the jump course.

Beginning
I started warming him up in the indoor while I was waiting for my instructor to come in a start my lesson. I started with a few trots changing the direction a few times going across the center of the ring. Also I did do some of the "standing in my stirrups" exercises from the Ryan Minor clinic. I am so grateful I was able to do that clinic because I learned a lot from it. But back to the beginning, I also worked on riding with a loser rein to test him to see if he would listen and surprisingly he did. We worked on halt-back-trot sequences which went really well. After that we did a few canters in both directions. Lastly, I did a hand gallop to get some energy out of him and then I walked him around the indoor on a loose rein only using my legs to direct him in the direction we were going and also to keep him on the rail.

Lesson
During our lesson, we worked inside and outside. We started with trotting, while doing the halt-back-trot sequences which helped him understand that at certain times, I wanted to stop. I tried doing a canter down the long sides and trot down the short sides as well. He got a bit quick and would canter down the short sides but we are going to work on that next week. He did so good inside, so we decided to go outside. We went out to the ring and surprisingly he wasn't as vocal as he usually was until we started jumping. So, we trotted around and then jumped a cross rail on the right side of the ring coming home, then jumped a cross rail and then a lattice jump going away, then lastly I cantered around the jump on the right side then went towards the middle where there was another lattice jump. He refused the last one but I just made him go over it again and then he jumped it. When we took the last lattice jump, he sort of over jumped it, maybe over-jumped it. He started to get a bit excited so we switched things around because he started to get ahead of himself. So we went away over the cross rail on the right side, over the lattice and the cross rail, but we didn't go over the last lattice until the second time around. When we went over the first lattice, he jumped the fence a stride to early, then he took off running for dear life for the barn so that he could have his dinner. But alas, he could not have it yet. So I walked him around and then just let him stand still for a while with Kitchie as she and I talked about Hercules. She can tell that I am utterly in love with this horse and that I fit him really well. If Hercules was for sale, I would buy him in a heartbeat. I already let one horse that I fell utterly in love with go to another person. If I ever find a horse that I fall utterly in love with, I will not let them go.

The Three L's

Like
Now, there a many things I like, but I am only just going to do one for today. I like marinated mushrooms during the Christmas season. We always get them from BJ's because they come in a large jar. I mean, if you're friends with me and you don't like marinated mushrooms, something is wrong with you. Haha just kidding, but seriously you guys need to try marinated mushrooms, they are so good!! They're in like a vinegary sauce with bits of garlic and pepper. The mushroom and the sauce are like to die for!

Love
What is one thing I love… Hmm, I know! LEOPARD PRINT! I am so obsessed with leopard print. It all started with my friend Nina during our Junior year of high school when she bought me a leopard stuffed toy and zebra stuffed toy for her. And then it grew to nail stickers and now we are so in love with the prints we can't stop. I actually found two Coach bags that would be perfect for us because one is Leopard print and the other is Zebra print! I mean, can life get any better?! It can! Because anything out in a store, can be painted or re-furnished with Leopard print!

Loathe
Oh the one thing I loathe right now is the Kardashians Christmas Card for 2013. I mean, when I look at it, it screams vulgar! I liked the card they did last year because it was so classy with all of them dressed in white and having a good time as a big family. This year, it is like Las Vegas vulgarity. Like, it's sad that we don't see the classy Christmas photo like last years. I actually liked last years Christmas photo.  Oh and then there's Kim's cleavage, which I have to say is a bit too much cleavage for a Christmas card. These are just thoughts on how I feel about the Christmas card, I am not bad mouthing them; these are just my opinions.

Now, what inspired me to do "The Three L's" is that I think of things that I like, love and loathe all the time and I thought I could share them with you! There are so many things I want to share with you on the three l's so this will be a weekly Monday post! But keep in mind that these are just my thoughts on things. I am in no way bad mouthing something or someone.

Holiday Season!

Last year's decorations

I love Christmas! It is my favorite holiday. I love getting the decorations and everything out and put everything up! The tree is finally done, it is loaded with so many cherished ornaments. I just cleaned off the railings outside in preparation for the garland and wreaths. The big ornaments are already up, we are just waiting for the garland, wreaths, and possibly a garland over the door. I just saw a neighbors house and I wanted to spice up the outdoor part of the decorations. Lately, my parents and I have been watching so many Christmas films. Right now, we are watching The Santa Clause. Last night, I watched The Holiday and Love Actually. Those are two of my favorite Christmas films. While I was out shopping today, I was listening to the radio, the Christmas station to be exact. I love it! I sing along all happy! I just opened today's window of my Cadbury advent calendar and I got a chocolate shaped as Santa's face. It was so delicious mainly because it was Cadbury chocolate which is English chocolate. So it would be extremely delicious.

The Pearl of my Life

My MudLynn is the Pearl of my life. I love her so dearly, I don't know what I would do without her. I still remember when my mom and I first brought her home. I won't go into much detail about the beginning when she lived with us, but I will tell you how she got her name.

My mum and I put in an adoption application to adopt this Cairn Terrier from a shelter, but another family adopted her. Before we hung up the phone, the consultant said that her friend's daughter had found a puppy by a dumpster covered in mud. So they then named her Mud. As time went on, they did not like the name "Mud", as a compromise they added "Lynn" to the end of her name. Hence, she became MudLynn. She was such a cutie when we got her. Except for the part when she chewed a shoe, vacuum cord, corner of a book cabinet, and sometimes the bottom of the fence. But she soon got over her chewing phase. She was a very outdoorsy dog in the beginning but now, she prefers to go out on walks and then come inside to sleep on her bed on the couch. She is still spoiled with many toys that she plays with, especially her "Ho Ho Ho" squeaky bone. She loves that toy the most I think. She does act as though she were a human, she sleeps under the covers sometimes! She can spell and tell time! She knows when she gets her treats and when it is time for dinner. She knows words like "walk", "truck", "car", "bye bye" and "cookie". Her winter coat has her name embroidered on it so that everyone knows her name. She is more of a guys dog, even though my mum and I do everything for her, when a guy comes in the house, she is all over him.

I am so blessed to have her in my life, I don't know what life would be like if we never adopted her in the first place.

DIY Queen and the Weekly Reads

Lately, I've been a bit more selfish about things that I like to do. For example, reading and DIY. DIY is things are so fun to do. I h...
