Outlander Day : The Garrison Commander

Just so you guys know, I decided to do this really late in the season, but enjoy! 

Claire having the flashback of her and Frank during war was emotional. Sad for her because she was seeing a memory if her and Frank.

I've really started to loathe for Randall as well as pity him. He's been turned into a monster through the combat he has faced in the Highlands.

This was the most powerful scene in my opinion. Tobias (BlackJack Randall) was just wielding his acting incredibly. Moving yet sad in a way for Jamie.

Is it bad that I find Graham McTavish attractive? He being 30 years older than me? Eh, I always go for the older ones, more mature than most of the ones my age.

Love, love, love her dress. I love the plaid. I swear, the costume designer could make loads of money by making more and selling them. Fans would go wild over the dress. Probably even more if the series sold the Mackenzie broach since it was a custom made; they'd sell more if they were custom to the clan a fan was part of like me being a Buchanan.

I really loved the ending once Claire decided to go through with the marriage to Jamie. I mean, she just grabbed the bottle of spirits! Better that than her tongue to upset Angus eh?

Girl Talk: Single Life

We all dream of having a guy to call our boyfriend. But sometimes, we don't need a boyfriend. 

I've been single for about 2 years and I love it. Yeah sure, I miss having a date, but I like being in charge of me. Being single, you can accomplish things you want rather than most of your attention being distracted by a boy. Since I move a lot with my parents, I don't have to worry about making a long distance relationship work. 

But since you're single, don't lower your standards. Keep em at the height they are because one day, one guy will meet every single one of them.

         Stand tall ladies, don't fall.

Something In Me....

There's a part of me that wants to ride Western again... I don't know why.

I've been riding English for so long it's crazy. I will show English this year when I'm on the riding team because I just bought a few new breeches and socks. 

The horse is these photos and below are of Lexi, a mare I leased in 2010 who was in fact the dam of another mare that I first showed in 4-H, Rose. Rose then had a foal named Harley. So, we had some lineage at the barn. 

But part of me just wants a western saddle... I love it when I rode western for a show season with 4-H. So much fun. 

I think if I get a horse, I'll look for one that can go both English and Western. That way it will be nice and easy for me and my wallet rather than get two horses. One horse as a first horse will be enough in the beginning.

Movie of the Day

I'm a huge Austen fan. Jane Austen was just a phenomenal author. when her books came to life, they were truly treasures in my heart.

Today's movie is Pride and Prejudice. The costumes in this film are exquisetly made with the finest detail. It makes me want to purchase my own off of Etsy (where the crafters go). I found some lovely Regency gowns there. It's amazing what people can do. 

The message of the film to me is that true love conquers the rules of society like the ones during the Regency Era; when young bachelors if high status were expected to marry ladies of their same status. 

If I were a Bennett, I would want Mr. Bingley instead of Mr. Darcy. Mr. Bingley is my type of dream boyfriend/husband. Always cheerful and keen to meet others. I like a man that enjoys to socialize with others. I don't understand the whole infatuation girls have with Mr. Darcy, he seems so cold.

Anyway, Regency is one of my many favorite fashion eras in the history of fashion.
