I Do and I Don't

I'm so conflicted about moving.

Pros
  • I get to explore what is outside of Virginia.
  • Live closer to my relatives in Oregon and California.
  • Go to the college of my dreams.
  • Could meet this girl who could be my college roommate.
  • I could one day go on an Alaskan Cruise.

Cons
  • I leave my "business" in my neighborhood.
    • I don't want to leave the people I sit for, it's heartbreaking.
  • I leave my barn that I ride at.
  • I leave Chick fil-A… OH THE AGONY.
Don't you just hate this "nearly there to moving" feeling? I want to move, you can tell because I've been avoiding the mall when it comes to shopping as well as cleaning out my closing and organizing things into their dedicated boxes.

Chuckit's are Amazing

Hello dog lovers and owners!! If you have a Chuckit!, don't you just love it?! I used my neighbors today because I am watching her two poodles at the moment. It is so easy to use, plus it's clean. You don't have to touch the slobbery ball but pick it up with the ball and chuck it away! I really enjoy using this toy when I am playing with dogs I am watching. My aunts dog loves the Chuckit. I wish my dog would play fetch but she's too lazy.

Do you have a Chuckit?

Friday Favourites

Friday Favourites

My first favorite would be my new Army Wives book because I was able to have it signed by Tanya Biank who is the author. Army Wives is my favourite show and I am enjoying my time reading the book which was the basis of the show. I'm currently in Part 1. Tanya Biank is one of my inspirations because she is an Army Brat/Wife and she is also a journalist. I hope you guys check out Army Wives or Tanya Biank's books.

Now, I don't own this yet but I am picking it up today from the shop. I adore mermaids, I have one just like this in my room but its like a black and white checker board design. Mermaids are the symbol of Norfolk and are probably the only thing I love about Norfolk. Mermaids are just so captivating and beautiful. If they were real, I'd want to be one of them. I just love the ocean, though I wish I could see clearly underwater.

I love these two photos I took yesterday because I feel that they are photos that symbolize spring. A happy puppy standing on a picnic table and a gorgeous pink flower are symbols that show new happiness for a new season.

My March Minimalism

Hi everyone! I've decided to due a monthly minimalism post on how much I get rid of each month.

I've gotten rid of 6 figurines, 2 pairs of shoes and 26 items of clothing. Awesome right? I've decided that each month when I get rid of clothes or shoes, I add how many I get rid of and that number is then equal in dollars. Therefore, the number I get rid of is the amount of money I can spend. This means I can spend $34 the next time I go shopping.

The six figurines I'm donating.

As well as the 26 items of clothing I am donating. I don't have a picture of the shoes though, they were a pair of tennis shoes and boots. Nothing too special. I prefer to donate rather than throw away because someone who is less fortunate than me can purchase these for their family.

That's March Minimalism!

February Ipsy Glam Bag 2014 Product Review

Hey guys! I have my lovely Glam Bag review for you today!

The first product is the POP Beauty Plump Pout Mini lip gloss in Fuchsia Freesia. The size I received is 4 grams whereas the retail size is 0.3 oz and sells for $16.00. I really liked this product because it's not sticky after application. This is definitely on my good list. The star quality about this product is that it is cruelty free. I adore products that are cruelty free. I'd rather not wear something that was tested on animals, it's cruel. This is a five star product.

I posted it on Instagram when I first wore it and POP Beauty's instagram commented on the photo! I was so ecstatic! AH! Haha! I felt special.

The next product is this Zoya nail polish in Odette. I personal love ZOYA polish. It applies so easily and perfectly. The color is absolutely perfect for spring. I just recently put this on because I knew the brand very well. Now I got the full size polish in my bag and normally this retails for $9.00. Again, the sat quality is that it is cruelty free. Love, love, love it! Five star product.

Now, with these falsies, I was not at all happy. Personally, I am not a false eyelash wearer and also they felt extremely heavy on my eyes. Yeah, they're pretty but they were just not at all for me. One star product and I don't even know if they are cruelty free. I hope Ipsy doesn't put false eyelashes in my bags anymore.

The next product is the Dr. Lin Acne Spot Corrector. When I got this, I was overjoyed because my Clean Cleaner Step 3 acne gel was running low. This was 0.5 ounces so you're basically get half of the normal size because the retail size is 1.0 ounces. The retail price is $8.99 on drlinskincare.com and that is not a bad price. I tried searching online if this was cruelty free but I have a feeling that it isn't. Oh well, I'll just use it up and not buy it again. 4 star product.

Last but not least is the Jesse Girl eye shadow palette in Brown Eyed Girl. I like this palette because it has simple neutral beiges and browns for the eyes. I used probably 4 shades now and I love them. Some though are a bit too red for me. But, it applies on very well especially with your finger. This size is 0.22 ounces which I believe is the full retail size. This retails at $3.99 which is a great deal for some simple eye shadows that cater to your eye color. 5 star product.

Today's Joint Services Luncheon!

Today, I went to the Joint Services luncheon with my mum. At the luncheon, I helped set up the Tidewater Collections table with the other volunteers from the store. I swear, the things the store sells are so adorable! They sell house hold decor and seasonal decor. They also sell mosaic mermaids, I need to pick mine up tomorrow.

This is what it looks like! The tail is made of some broken china. To me, it looks like old Royal Dulton Old Country Roses china bits. But anyway, I think it looks absolutely beautiful. I have another mermaid, but I'd like to add a few more before I move to Washington in the summer.

Back to the luncheon, we had a guest speaker. That guest speaker was Tanya Biank. She is the author of Army Wives which is now a television drama on Lifetime Television. Sadly it just ended with it's seventh season, but it left us on such a big cliff hanger! ARGH! They need to bring the show back. In the end, it was a lovely afternoon and I also met many nice ladies there. I feel older than the age I am currently. Apparently, my mental age is 27….

My mum bought her book Army Wives for me and I also got it signed. I was so happy. Plus this is my first book to be signed by the author. When my mum bought it, I sat down at our table and started reading it! I am already on Part 1.

I hope you guys look her up on Amazon and buy one of her books or watch Army Wives on Netflix!
