MudLynn meets her future roomie, Harper

Well, since I haven't updated you. I will be moving into another apartment in my complex and live with my friend Lily who is on the riding team at Western, ding ding a horse girl as my roommate! Anyways, back to the topic. So yesterday, I watched her new puppy, Harper. Harper is a little mini-Aussie cross that Lily recently adopted.

MudLynn was very good with Harper. She didn't really care for her because I was focusing all my attention on Harper so that she would potty on my carpet. Sorry Mud, I still love you. But overall, Mud did not growl, snarl or anything towards Harper. I'm pretty sure Harper was a bit intimidated with MudLynn's size. Harper did want to play, though.

Just a little note: Harper does have parvo which is a virus that affects puppies between the ages of 6 weeks and 6 months. Harper, however, is on the mend, she only have a little bit of diarrhea. However with a virus this harsh to puppies, it is also harsh on the wallet. Below I listed the link to her Go Fund Me that Lily made, please donate to help this little pup. She is the sweetest thing and so cuddly.

The Week Ahead

Outside my window… The weather is a little chilly, but the sun is out.

I am thinking… about classes for next quarter and my plan of study.

I am thankful… that I have MudLynn to help me destress since I have to take her outside.

From the dining hall/kitchen… I had strawberries for breakfast and some tilapia and broccoli for lunch.

I am hearing… The clicking of keys as my fingers type on my Macbook and Rihanna playing on my iPod...

I am watching/listening… Rihanna.

Always one of my favorite things… is watching Netflix and riding.

I am reading… Nothing.

I am making… This blog post because I am really slacking on the posting everyday regime.

I am writing… This blog post, reviews for my 490 class, weekly review for 490, a journal for 370, and my Odyssey article for the week.

A Few Plans for the Rest of the Week… Monday - I had no class, so I did some reading and then spent part of the day outside with Mud, Kaveh, and Bruno. Tuesday - I have class and then a group work session at the library tonight. Wednesday - no class, so I will probably do my reviews and then go to the dog park at Larrabee. Thursday - Class and then nothing. Friday - I have a lesson in the morning and then Mud and I head to Poulsbo for her post-surgery check-up as well as get some Sluy's to bring home.

MudLynn Update… She is doing well, passed out on the rug.

College Update… College... I wish I graduated already. I do only have 3 quarters left until I graduate.

Riding Update… We are in the off season so we are just lessoning. I do feel a great improvement in my jumping. I got ot jump Suzi's horse (below) and had an absolute blast!

Camping in the Wilderness

Well, since I didn't work today, Kaveh, the dogs and I went camping near Baker over night. Before we went to the sight, we explored some other paths that his friend told him about. And let me tell you, the view was amazing.

Got Mud in the shot, although I wish I got Bruno (Kaveh's dog) in the shot as well. But overall, the dogs get along very nicely.

I mean, do you see how beautiful the clouds look in the view?! It makes you realize that you're oh so small when compared to a mountain or a view like this one.

Mud enjoyed the trip, up until the point when she was wet from all the rain, so that was when we put her in the Jeep to sleep.

We then made it to our spot, which was really nice. It was right next to a little kinda waterfall, plus there was already a nice supply of wood for the fire. We put up the tent in case we did decide to sleep in the tent, but then it ended up being really cold and wet, so we slept in the Jeep with the dogs, which was surprisingly comfortable. I loved listening to the rain fall onto the Jeep.

The fire was wonderful. It kept us both really warm while we sat outside (when the rain stopped) and just talked about life and everything.

I loved watching the flames just flicker against the wood and seeing the embers glow in the dark.

Again, Bruno was running around outside as we loaded up the Jeep to head back home. Overall, it was a great first ACTUAL camping trip. I liked being out in nature and feeling how small I really was compared to the trees and mountains. But then again, camping has some benefits, it really makes you appreciate how blessed you are with the things you have waiting at home. I was so happy to come home, lay in my comfy bed, and take a nice hot shower.

I look forward to more adventures and camping trips in the future.

Am I Experiencing Premature Senioritis?

I am at that point where, to be honest, I don't want to do school anymore. I know I have a year and that I need to do better than my last quarters but I just don't want to anymore. I don't feel like I've been slacking this quarter, I am doing pretty well right now.
If my mom is reading this right now, sorry mom! But lately, I take about less than a week to write a paper and granted these are like 1000-1500 word papers so to me they're pretty easy. Plus I love writing papers.

One way I know I am experiencing premature-senioritis, although this is my version of senioritis. I'm like doing readings and such two days before the class, but I understand the material, basically I leave it to nearly the last day. Another reason is that if I am half way done with something, I am done for the day. Bye, I am going to sit and watch the sunset at Locust. My senioritis is basically my escape from school. Why let a beautiful sunny day go by when homework is half way done? Go enjoy the sun.

And also, part of me doesn't want to work anymore. All I want to do is to be paid to ride horses, take care of dogs and to just be outside all the time. But then again, I love my job. God, I just want to ride every day and all day on trails. That's my goal; to get a truck, trailer and two horses to hit the trails on. Miss Fiona would be perfect for that.

Sorry About Being AWOL

MudLynn likes snoozing on her pad and the pillow. Might need to look into getting her a bed for the living room.

Life has been a bit crazy lately with school and work. I've been on a routine where I go to school, do homework, take the dog out, hang out with Kaveh, and then go to bed all to just repeat but it does slightly change with the days I work. My time is so scarce since I spend the majority of my week either working or doing homework so that I can have a stress-free weekend.

I do find the time where I can go lay out on the grass in the park or take Mud to the dog park one afternoon. I love going outside when the weather is absolutely gorgeous.

My goal starting today has gone pretty well. I am starting to cook more food for a few days so that I have something to eat before I either go to work or to class.

I will try to keep up with more blog posts.

The Bellinghamster I Am

Moving to Bellingham has probably been the greatest decision of my life. I am attending the college of my dreams, riding with a team I love to the fullest, and exploring every inch of the Bellinghamster in me.

I came to Bellingham with all what I call "fancy" clothes and such hoping to make a good impression to those I encounter. But as the quarters and months went by, I realized it's not about how you dressed; but it was about being yourself and dressing for your comfort.

I've switched out girly clothes for slouchy tops and leggings, hats for beanies and some shoes for Birks and Vans. Comfort is now my style and I love it. It's kinda sporty and still yet comfortable. Don't get me wrong, I still wear skirts and dresses and have that desire to look nice and put together, but I know feel most confident in my new found style.

DIY Queen and the Weekly Reads

Lately, I've been a bit more selfish about things that I like to do. For example, reading and DIY. DIY is things are so fun to do. I h...
