Crazy Dreams and the Reality

In college, we find out that it is hard to decide on a major. While I flopped from Journalism, Recreation and Art History, it was a hard choice. Then I found the Multidisciplinary Studies major, which is more so a humanities/liberal arts major. I realized that this could help me figure out my life post-graduation; as long as my classes are well-founded and diverse, I could probably get a job doing anything that peaked my interest.

My interests range from topics such as fashion and beauty to camping/backpacking and horseback riding. You'll notice from my blog that I bounce from one topic to another. I'm never satisfied writing about one thing, which is why I've made this blog a lifestyle blog.

I enjoy talking about what I've worked on in my lessons, brands, and products that I love and also writing tip posts on what to take in a backpack to campus or top ten items in my purse, and pet posts about MudLynn and the latest things she has.

There are times in my days where I'm like "I want to be a teacher, no no, I want to be a fashion editor's assistant like Andy in the Devil Wears Prada." That's where it all hits me, I want to be so many things. The world says I can't, but I say I can.

And I will.

Crazy Thoughts and Senior Year

Holy cow, it's my senior year now. Where did the time go? I still feel like I just moved to Bellingham to go to Western. Well, time to end it with a bang bang.

I am currently working with my mom on some academic things (possible minor and certificate program) that I want to have done by next fall. I hope it all pans out and can go with flying colors.

I want to do so many things so I figured I might as well get certifications that can help me in the future with prospective employers as well as work along with my major. I am actually going to check out the job fair at school that is coming up to see what my options would be.

Also, there are some things I need to evaluate if I have to graduate next fall. The main thing would be if MudLynn can live here with me or if she has to go back to Virginia with my parents. Ugh, such a hard decision.

Well, TTFN. I shall keep you guys posted on my decision about MudLynn.

Me Before You Book and Film Review

SPOILER: They fall in love!!! | "Me Before You" Is The Movie That's Going Emotionally Wreck You:

Me Before You was probably my favorite book for August. I read it over the summer while I worked at camp reading a chapter here and a chapter there. I loved the story line but I wasn't happy with the ending. In my opinion, it was a more realistic ending but I would have been happy if Lou and Will ended up happily ever after or if he died of another bout of pneumonia. I mean, overall I loved the book, it had a great rise and fall to the plot with some interesting twists in it as well.

Overall, it was the very first book that made me cry at the ending. It was heartbreaking when they were laying in bed together for the last time, not saying goodbye, but see you later. I loved Will's character at the end because he gave Lou so much in order for her to live her life in exchange for the time they spent together on those adventures. Lou is awesome because she has no fear of what people think when it comes to her wardrobe. She is fearless when it comes to her outfits and her shoes. I personally love her shoes, they are eccentric! She is just very quirky and I love it!

I admire Louisa's character because she is so positive about everything. She's hardworking at her job and will go far and beyond for something she sets her mind on.

I do love how in the film they kept everything true and (in the words of a fan) correct. All the major parts were in it and the characters were just as how I imagined them in the book. The cast truly brought them all to life.

The love that these two characters shared was a sweet love, more so a love that had a physical limit which made Will push Louisa to live her life to the fullest because he was never able to live it fully. He more so lived it through Louisa's eyes when they went on that tropical vacation.

I've watched this film multiple times and I still cry at the ending. It literally kills me that he is leaving this beautiful and caring woman behind.

The cast of the film was superb with actors from Game of Throne, The White Queen, Downton Abbey, Hunger Games, and Harry Potter. Stellar actors with amazing talent. Overall, I advise you to read the book and watch the movie, I enjoyed both very much and think you will too.

Life Last Week : 2016-4

Work is going smoothly, just finished my second week working with the YMCA. I am really loving my job, more so than any other job I've had.  I also got the OK to make a homework tracking poster for the kids to put a sticker on each day showing that they've completed their day's worth of homework during healthy mind time. I am going to have so much fun making it. I am going to theme it each month with washi and stickers and sticker letters. It is going to be brilliant. One of my kids is super excited for it which I am happy about.

I started working out and eating healthy with Kaveh since we're doing a 12-week workout. Even after the first day, I am sore. It's been a long long time since I worked out or even went to the gym. Oh well, stronger body and healthier body is a good thing. I'll be stronger for the upcoming show season as well. I just recently ate a McDonalds McFlurry and had the w.orst stomach ache in my life (might be exaggerating). I also went to the barn this week and rode our hopeful team horse, Tank. It was great getting back in the saddle after riding camp horses.

I have finished all my assistant coach paperwork and forms so I am all set to go now! I am so excited for the season, I just got the calendar of the dates for the shows. One English show this fall. But I'll have all quarter to work on my equitation and maybe jumping. I think I am going to do jumping this year and end it with some fun.

Kylie Jenner Lipstick Review

When I first saw that Kylie Jenner was coming out with a lipstick line, I was a little skeptical. The prices were more on the expensive kind and everything was always sold out before I could look at purchasing something from her website.

While I was at camp, I decided to purchase one because there were many singles that were still in stock since she came out with summer colors. I ended up buying Dolce K.
When I opened it and tried it on, I fell in love with the color. It is a dark nude shade which compliments my skin tone very well. After wearing it for a week or so, I decided that it is a 5-star product. It's kiss, food and drink proof which is hard to find in a lipstick. I could kiss my boyfriend and it wouldn't be smudged, drink some water and there would be no lipstick on the glass, or eat a sandwich and there would still be no residue on the sandwich bread.
The formula is basically the same as ColorPop because she works with the same company that makers Colorpop's lipsticks. Compared to my other lipsticks, this is amazing quality and I believe worth the price.

I already know that every few months, I am going to treat myself to one of her other lipstick shades. I think the next shade I will purchase will either be Leo or Ginger. Something that gives me that Fall/Autumn vibe.

I personally think that Kylie Jenner should expand her line and have it sold at Ulta Beauty because I think it would help boost her sales even more and also reduce the demand for reduced shipping prices.

Overall, I am obsessed with the product.

The Week Ahead

Outside my window… The weather is sunny but a little chilly.

I am thinking… about how I only have two weeks left until school starts. I still need to get my books for the quarter.

I am thankful… that I have MudLynn to help me destress since I have to take her outside.

From the dining hall/kitchen… I had cod and veggies.

I am hearing… The clicking of keys as my fingers type on my Asus.

I am watching/listening… Nada.

Always one of my favorite things… is watching Netflix and riding.

I am reading… The Rebel Queen- a historical fiction about India when it was occupied by the British.

I am making… This blog post because I am really slacking on the posting everyday regime.

I am writing… This blog post and many others.

A Few Plans for the Rest of the Week… Monday through Friday I have work. I pretty much right now either work on the apartment or hang out at Kaveh's with the dogs, go to the dog park, or hang out with Melissa. This weekend, I am going to the barn to work a possible new team horse named Tank.

MudLynn Update… She is doing well, passed out under the bed as per usual.

College Update… College... I only have 3 quarters left until I graduate.

Riding Update… We are in the summer break still. I will hopefully be trying to go ride some of the horses soon so that I can get back in shape again. My gym routine will help keep me strong until then.

Life Last Week : 2016-3

Life has been crazy busy. Living wise, I have officially been moved over into the new apartment. I am slowly decorating and making it feel like a home while waiting for my roommate to move in!

School wise, school has started for me but it has for all the other kiddos. Since I am now working at the YMCA, I have been doing the after school enrichment program at one of the schools in Bellingham. It has been going great as I am finishing my second week I believe. The kids are great and surprise me sometimes when they come in asking if they can start their homework.

MudLynn has been doing great. I've started feeding her some breakfast in the mornings since she's has been more active and also that she is getting older. I need to order more joint supplements for her since I am starting to run low.

AS for the team, I am going to be the English coach this year! That basically means that I can call rerides, give pep talks to riders and also coach from the rail. I have to give the form and check to the president and take the test and then I am golden!

I'm Alive I Promise!

Hey everyone! So I am officially back in business! I've been without wifi for the past half month, but now I got it installed in the apartment! Now, I can get back into posting my normal weekly posts again and share new things that I have tried lately.

I will be sharing a Kylie Jenner Lip Kit review and such soon since I have had that lipstick for a while. I've loved it so much, I just have to share it with you!
